Eliza Smyth (nee Kwan)

Eliza has completed a Masters of Sports Physiotherapy through La Trobe University. Prior to this she had also completed a Bachelor of Science (Coaching Science) and a Masters of Physiotherapy from the University of Canberra.
Eliza is the current physiotherapist for the Australian Para-cycling Team, having worked with them for the past 5 years. Her career highlight was supporting this team throughout the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. She also provides support for the Canberra Off-Road Cyclists (CORC) women’s and junior development squads.
Eliza has a background in martial arts, having practiced Olympic-style Taekwondo for over 10 years and representing Australia in several junior and senior national teams for the sport. In recent years her attention has turned to endurance sports, particularly road-cycling and mountain biking as well as running and triathlon. Eliza is an enthusiastic mountain-biker and has a strong interest in the rehabilitation of cycling and running-related injuries supported by a passion for assisting individuals of all athletic backgrounds return to their chosen physical pursuits.
