Victoria has worked in Australia and Canada in various settings such as hospitals, post-surgical orthopaedics, neurological and vestibular clinics and musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy clinics. These experiences have shaped Victoria’s skills to treat patients from all walks of life with a variety of conditions.

Victoria understands that sleep, recovery, stress reduction, exercise and quality nutrition are the basis for optimal recovery and health. She has been learning more about the influence that the gut microbiome and perimenopause can have on overall health. Victoria helps her patients learn how to train with these conditions and achieve weight loss to support health aging.

During Victoria’s Physiotherapy Consultations, she aims to:

    1.    Provide an accurate diagnosis or a provisional diagnosis for the injury/condition. If this is not possible without further investigation, Victoria can refer for the appropriate radiological imaging to achieve a diagnosis. During this process, Victoria believes in establishing strong communication with the patients’ GP, specialist or other members of their health care team.

    2.    Assist her patients to understand their musculoskeletal condition/injury and inform them how to best manage their condition guided by current research and evidence-based practice. She achieves this through a combination of education, motivational interviewing, manual therapy, exercise prescription and/or altering their gym programs/training load.

    3.    Achieve optimal recovery and ongoing self-management for patients to return to previous mobility and reach their exercise goals.

In her free time Victoria spends time with her family and her cat (Kit), gardening, painting, and teaching Yoga and Pilates. Victoria enjoys going to the gym, cycling, playing soccer for Majura and running and walking outdoors. Her favourite podcast to listen to is ZOE: Science and Nutrition.
